When the headset is pulled open, the receiver is activated. When the chin strap is closed again, the system will switch off. The headset is equipped with a large volume control and a push button to select the right channel. It is also possible to connect headphones to the headset.

The tour guide has the choice between a very slim headset microphone or a handheld transmitter. The use of a headset is recommended in noisy locations, such as factory halls, because the microphone is close to the mouth at all times, so there is little chance of disturbing sound “penetrating” between the mouth and the microphone.
